Role of the Montreal Sports Council in assisting with the organization:
The Council operates in three major areas: regional sports development, elite sports, and sports events. The Council provides essential support for sporting events, thereby solidifying its role as a key player in the development, promotion, and organization of sports in Montreal. To this end, it offers a range of services designed to facilitate networking, collaboration, and cooperation among event organizers. The Council brings together and mobilizes sports stakeholders with the aim of increasing cooperation in event organization by providing support to organizing committees.
In addition, he plays an active role in the sports events sector, coordinating and leading the activities of the Montreal Sports Event Partners Group (GPESM). This group developed the Montreal Sports Events Strategy, the result of joint deliberations among its members: Tourisme Montréal, the Olympic Park, the Société du Parc Jean-Drapeau, the Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec (RSEQ), the City of Montreal, and the Council.

Call for volunteers / Volunteer coordination

Event Promotion
The promotional support service provides organizers with effective assistance to promote their events in a targeted and successful manner. Whether through our sports events calendar or our weekly newsletter highlighting upcoming events for the week, please contact us so we can help you showcase your sporting event.
Operational support
The operational support service, provided by one of our sports officers, is designed to collaborate with the organizing committees of major sporting events. The officer provides logistical and operational expertise to ensure the event’s success. This service is currently available only during the summer months.
