The Conseil du sport de Montréal's Programme Excellence sportive île de Montréal (ESIM) wishes to offer additional and complementary support to its athlete and stakeholder services axis, and thus grant a distinctive status to Elite category athletes specially selected for the program.

Each year, a jury of experts sifts through nearly 80 applications to select a cohort highlighting the 12 most promising athletes in the Montreal region.
