- Member in good standing of their sports association.
The VIP is available to all Canadian athletes, coaches, managers and officials who are members in good standing of a sport organization, including a national sport organization, a provincial sport organization, a Canadian Sport Centre and a Canadian Sport Institute, who are members of the provincial health insurance plan and who are receiving treatment in Canada.
This insurance provides access to medical-sports services in Canada in the event of injury or accident.
Insurance outside Canada (Travel Medical Insurance)
TYPES OF COMPENSATION
Sports Accident: A sudden incident resulting in injury (occurring during a club-approved activity).
Sports Overuse Treatment: Chronic injury that occurs over a period of time as a result of repetitive activity.
