The PAAC is available to allCanadian athletes, coaches, administrators, and officialswho are members in good standing of a sports organization—including a national sport organization, a provincial sport organization, a Canadian Sport Centre, or a Canadian Sport Institute—who are covered by a provincial health insurance plan and whoreceive treatment in Canada.
This insurance provides access to sports medicine services in Canada in the event of an injury or accident.

Sports injury: a sudden incident resulting in an injury (occurring during a club-approved activity).
Treatment for sports-related overuse injuries: a chronic injury that develops over time as a result of repetitive activity.
