EVALUATION LABORATORY

The purpose of this service is to offer a complete and free physical evaluation to Montreal Island athletes identified in a training group supported by the Montreal Sports Excellence program.

OBJECTIVES

Provide a free comprehensive physical evaluation to the athlete supported by the Montreal Sport Excellence Program

The results of this evaluation will help identify areas for improvement and measure the impact of our financial support in the area of sport science and coaching.

OPERATION
  • Use of specialized state-of-the-art assessment tools
  • Support from an expert consultant to administer various tests that meet the identified needs.
  • Collaboration between the consultant and the athlete in the selection of an assessment date / test design.
  • Scheduling of a minimum of 3 meetings with the consultant.
  • Mandatory annual evaluation
  • Action report completed by the athlete following the implementation process of the measures identified during the laboratory evaluations
SPECIAL FEATURE

Only identified athletes from the island of Montreal can take advantage of this free service

*Identified athletes from another region will be able to participate in the evaluation laboratory by agreement between the Group, the person responsible for the Montreal Excellence in Sport program and the Regional Multi-Sport Training Centre (RMTC) of the athlete in question.

PROCEDURE

First meeting: Planning

Identification of the athlete's needs;
Development of a battery of musculoskeletal and physical tests;
Determining the evaluation date(s) while respecting the particularities of the sport and the athlete's preferences.

Second meeting: Evaluation

Assessment in a block of approximately three (3) hours.

Third meeting: Results

Discussion and analysis of the results obtained;
Identification of areas for improvement.

EVALUATION LABORATORY REPORT

The Montreal Sport Excellence Program will send you a short questionnaire to be completed and returned within a predetermined period of time in order to inform us of the actions taken following the analysis of the results and the identification of avenues for improvement (if applicable).
