EVALUATION LABORATORY

The purpose of this service is to offer a complete, free physical evaluation to Montreal Island athletes identified in a training group supported by the Montreal Sports Excellence program.

OBJECTIVES

Offer a complete physical evaluation free of charge to the athlete supported by the Montreal Sports Excellence program

The results of this evaluation will enable us to identify areas for improvement and measure the impact of our financial support in the field of sport science and coaching.

OPERATION
  • Use of specialized, state-of-the-art assessment tools
  • Support from an expert consultant to administer various tests that meet identified needs.
  • Collaboration between consultant and athlete to select an evaluation date / test design.
  • Schedule a minimum of 3 meetings with the consultant.
  • Mandatory annual assessment
  • Action report completed by the athlete following the implementation of measures identified during laboratory evaluations
SPECIFICATIONS

Only identified athletes on the island of Montreal can take advantage of this free service.

*Identified athletes from another region may participate in the evaluation laboratory subject to an agreement between the Group, the person in charge of the Montreal Excellence sportif program and the Centre régional d'entraînement multisport (CREM) to which the athlete belongs.

PROCEDURE

First meeting : Planning

Identification of the athlete's needs;
Development of a battery of musculoskeletal and physical tests;
Determination of the evaluation date(s), taking into account the particularities of the sport and the athlete's preferences.

Second meeting: Evaluation

Evaluation in a block of approximately three (3) hours.

Third meeting: Results

Discussion and analysis of the results obtained;
Identification of areas for improvement.

EVALUATION LABORATORY REPORT

The Montreal Sport Excellence program will send you a short questionnaire to be completed and returned within a pre-determined period of time, in order to inform us of the actions taken following analysis of the results and identification of areas for improvement (if applicable).
