This service aims to offer a comprehensive and free physical assessment to athletes on the island of Montreal who have been identified as part of a training group supported by the Montreal Sports Excellence program.
OBJECTIVES
Offer a comprehensive, free physical assessment to athletes supported by the Montreal Sports Excellence Program.
The results of this evaluation will enable us to identify areas for improvement and measure the impact of our financial support in the field of sports science and training.
OPERATION
- Use of specialized, state-of-the-art assessment tools
- Support from an expert consultant to administer various tests that meet identified needs.
- Collaboration between the consultant and the athlete in selecting an evaluation date/designing tests.
- Plan a minimum of three meetings with the consultant.
- Mandatory annual evaluation
- Report on actions taken, completed by the athlete following the implementation of measures identified during laboratory evaluations.
SPECIAL FEATURE
Only identified athletes from the island of Montreal can take advantage of this service free of charge.
*Identified athletes from other regions may participate in the evaluation lab subject to an agreement between the Group, the person responsible for the Montreal Sports Excellence Program, and the Regional Multisport Training Center (CREM) to which the athlete in question belongs.
PROCEDURE
First meeting: Planning
Identification of the athlete's needs;
Development of a battery of musculoskeletal and physical tests;
Determination of the evaluation date(s) taking into account the specific characteristics of the sport and the athlete's preferences.
Second meeting: Evaluation
Assessment in a block of approximately three (3) hours.
Third meeting: Results
Discussion and analysis of results obtained;
Identification of areas for improvement.
LABORATORY EVALUATION REPORT
The Montreal Sports Excellence Program will send you a short questionnaire to complete and return within a predetermined time frame in order to inform us of the actions taken following the analysis of the results and the identification of areas for improvement (if applicable).
