Community of Practice for the Sport Matters program

The East End of Montreal has suffered greatly from underfunding over the past few decades. This complex situation is currently leading to various problems that are not specific to this territory, but are often exacerbated: 

• Social inclusion
• Integration of marginalized populations
• Access to services
• Crime prevention
• Inequalities

The Conseil du sport de Montréal has implemented a community of practice that brings together various sports organizations in the East End of Montreal and the boroughs. The objective of this community is to trigger a dynamic of collaboration between organizations. These actors will discuss, among other things, sport issues in the East, share their new initiatives in sport development or ways to integrate new youth with various issues, including inclusion issues.
