Community of practice for the Du sport en plus program

Over the past few decades, the East End of Montreal has suffered greatly from underfunding. This complex situation is currently leading to a number of problems that are not specific to the area, but are often exacerbated: 

• Social inclusion
• Integration of marginalized populations
• Access to services
• Crime prevention
• Inequalities

The Conseil du sport de Montréal has set up a community of practice bringing together various sports organizations in the East End of Montreal and the boroughs. The aim of this community is to trigger a collaborative dynamic between organizations. Among other things, these players will discuss sports issues in the East End, share their new initiatives in sports development and ways of integrating new young people with various challenges, including issues of inclusion.
