Outstanding athlete
An athlete who participates in one or more individual or team sports, has distinguished themselves, and has achieved outstanding results at the national, continental, and/or international level. This category includes three finalists, at least one of whom must be from a team sport.
Outstanding parasport athlete
An athlete who participates in a parasport in one or more individual or team sports, who has distinguished themselves and achieved outstanding results at the national or international level. This category includes three finalists, at least one of whom must be from a team sport.
Up-and-coming athlete
Athletes identified as Rising Stars or Elite by their provincial sports federation or equivalent categories by the Quebec Student Sports Network (RSEQ) who have distinguished themselves and who practice a sport in one or more individual or team disciplines and who are not certified Senior (Sr1/Sr2, Sr) or C1 (1st year Senior certification).
Promising athlete
An athlete identified as a promising talent by their provincial sports federation or equivalent categories by the Quebec Student Sports Network (RSEQ) who has distinguished themselves and who practices a sport in one or more individual or team disciplines and who is not certified.
Next generation team
A team practicing a team sport that has distinguished itself and whose members are 18 years of age or younger.
Coach
Outstanding coach. A nomination from a group of coaches may be submitted if the coaches serve as co-coaches for one athlete or the same group of athletes.
Youth coach
Coaches with less than five (5) years of experience who have distinguished themselves. A nomination from a group of coaches may be submitted if the coaches serve as co-coaches for one athlete or the same group of athletes.
Administrator
Administrator of a local or regional sports nonprofit organization that has distinguished itself.
Official
Official who stood out.
Sports club and organization
Sports club or organization operating on the island of Montreal that has distinguished itself.
Regional sports association
A regional association recognized by its provincial federation, operating on the island of Montreal, that has distinguished itself.
Borough or linked city
Borough or linked city on the island of Montreal that has distinguished itself by introducing innovative measures or initiatives.
Initiative that supported the advancement of sport
This category recognizes a project, program, or initiative that has made a significant contribution to the advancement of sport in Montreal. Whether it is an initiative that promotes access to sport, inclusion, innovation, environmental responsibility, or improved conditions for athletes, it will have had a concrete and lasting impact on the Montreal sports community.
Metropolitan or provincial athletic competition
Outstanding metropolitan or provincial sports competition.
National sports competition
A national-level sports competition that stood out.
International sports competition
An international sporting competition that stood out.
