Outstanding Athlete
An athlete who competes in one or more individual or team sports, has distinguished themselves, and has achieved notable results at the national, continental, and/or international level. This category includes three finalists, at least one of whom must be from a team sport.
Outstanding Para-athlete
An athlete who competes in a parasport in one or more individual or team sports, has distinguished themselves, and has achieved notable results at the national or international level. This category includes three finalists, at least one of whom must be from a team sport.
Up-and-coming athlete
An athlete identified as a "Relève" or "Élite" level athlete by their provincial sports federation, or in equivalent categories by the Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec (RSEQ), who has distinguished themselves and who competes in one or more individual or team sports, and who is not certified at the Senior level (Sr1/Sr2, Sr) or C1 (1st-year Senior certification).
Up-and-coming athlete
An athlete identified as a “Espoir” level athlete by their provincial sports federation or as belonging to an equivalent category by the Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec (RSEQ), who has distinguished themselves and who competes in one or more individual or team sports and is not a certified athlete.
Youth Team
A team playing a team sport that has distinguished itself, with members aged 18 or younger.
Coach
Coaches who have distinguished themselves. A nomination for a group of coaches may be submitted if the coaches serve as co-coaches for a single athlete or a group of athletes.
Youth coach
A coach with less than five (5) years of experience who has distinguished themselves. A nomination from a group of coaches may be submitted if the coaches serve as co-coaches for a single athlete or the same group of athletes.
Administrator
A director of a local or regional sports nonprofit organization that has distinguished itself.
Official
An official who has distinguished themselves.
Sports club and organization
A sports club or organization based on the Island of Montreal that has distinguished itself.
Regional Sports Association
A regional association recognized by its provincial federation that operates on the island of Montreal and has distinguished itself.
District or affiliated city
A borough or affiliated city on the Island of Montreal that has distinguished itself by introducing innovative measures or initiatives.
An initiative that has supported the advancement of sports
This category aims to recognize a project, program, or initiative that has made a significant contribution to the advancement of sports in Montreal. Whether it is an initiative promoting access to sports, inclusion, innovation, environmental responsibility, or improved conditions for athletes, it must have had a tangible and lasting impact on Montreal’s sports community.
Metropolitan or provincial sports competition
A metropolitan- or provincial-level sports competition in which they excelled.
National sports competition
A national-level sports competition that has distinguished itself.
International sports competition
A prominent international sports competition.
