History of the Gala Podium Montréal

The Gala Podium Montréal, formerly known as Soirée des Lauréats montréalais, is an event organized by the Conseil du sport de Montréal to recognize and celebrate members of the sports community on the Island of Montréal. The initiative aims to honor athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, and organizations involved in sports in the city, among others.

The origins of the Winners' Evening 

Established in 1986, the Montreal Awards Ceremony was organized by the Montreal Sports Commission until 2017. It should be noted that due to the closure of the Commission on October 25, 2018, this organization bequeathed the Montreal Laureates Evening program to the Montreal Sports Council.

Where do the winners come from?

This event brings together all stakeholders in organized sports on the island of Montreal. They come mainly This event brings together all organized sports stakeholders on the island of Montreal. Most of them come from regional sports clubs and associations recognized by their respective sports federations, spread across the three sports territories of the Quebec Games: Bourassa, Lac-Saint-Louis, and Montreal, as well as all boroughs of the City of Montreal and related cities.
