Since October 30, 1969, Club Gymnacentre has proudly upheld its core mission of providing its members with the opportunity to stay active while developing their gymnastics skills in a safe and accessible environment.

The gymnastics center is home to more than 1,000 athletes, ranging in age from 18 months to adults, from the Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve and Rivière-des-Prairies-Pointe-aux-Trembles neighborhoods.

Programs Offered

The nonprofit organization offers two programs: the recreational program and the competitive program. The recreational program is designed for children and teens, from infants up to age 17, who want to learn the basics of gymnastics while still enjoying the fun of participating in a sport.

The competitive program consists of four levels: youth, regional, provincial, and finally, national. The Gymnacentre Club also offers athletes in the Sport-études program and student-athletes the opportunity to train at their facility.

It is important to note that Club Gymnacentre trains only female gymnasts in its competitive program.

Passing on a passion for sports

TheAlyssa Del Castilho, an expert coach at Club Gymnacentre, coaches a young girl who is part of the next generation of athletes, as well as four athletes who compete at the national level.

From young athlete to coach, Alyssa Del Castilho has been involved with the gymnastics center for 35 years. She says that one of the club’s primary responsibilities is to instill a passion for the sport.

“Fun, team spirit, respect, commitment, passion, and safety are among the club’s core values,” emphasizes thethe coachat Club Gymnacentre, Alyssa Del Castilho.
