Gala Podium Montréal: The best of Montreal sports take center stage!

On Friday, November 3, the prestigious Chalet du Mont-Royal hosted the Gala Podium Montréal, an evening of recognition for the sports community on the island of Montreal.

The program honors the athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, organizations and other players in the metropolitan sports community who have shone and distinguished themselves over the course of the year.

The gala, hosted by Emilie Duquette and Hassoun Camara , had everyone thrilled the 300 or so guests in attendancein a chic, electric atmosphere.

During the evening, 20 different categories were honored.

Among them, the Gala Podium Montréal selection jury chose 25 winners from 64 finalists, after processing more than 150 applications from all over the Island of Montreal.

Parasport was the big winner at this year's event, with Altergo winning 3 prizes and Raphaëlle Tousignant named Sports Personality of the Year after a popular vote of over 1,500 Montrealers.

"Returning to the Chalet du Mont-Royal was another great challenge for our teams and a great deal of anticipation for our guests. It's always a source of great pride for us to organize this annual event. During the evening, we reconnected with the passion and enthusiasm for sport that are so characteristic of our metropolis. I think the evening lived up to the expectations of our sporting community. says Laurier Thériault, Executive Director of the Conseil du sport de Montréal.
