Each month throughout the year, a jury of experts elected a Montreal sports personality who stood out for his or her performance, commitment or influence. It's now up to you, Montrealers, to elect the personality of the year who has made the biggest impact on sport in our city.

Ismaël Koné made his European soccer debut for Watford in the FA Cup.
January
Caroline Côté broke the ski speed record between Hercules Inlet and the South Pole, and won the Shackleton Award with her partner for their winter crossing of Svalbard Island in 2021.
February
On December 31, 2022, Dick Pound, former president of the World Anti-Doping Agency, completed a 44-year term of office with the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
March
Speed skater Kim Boutin distinguished herself by winning gold medals in the 1000m and 3000m relays, and silver in the 500m, at the World Cup in the Netherlands.

Earlier this year, Marie-Ève Dicaire chose to end her boxing career after more than 20 professional bouts and two world titles in the super-middleweight category.
May
Para-hockey athlete Raphaëlle Tousignant became the first woman to join the mixed parahockey team for the World Parahockey Championships in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.
June
Diver Pamela Ware took gold on 3m at the Canadian Diving Championships in Toronto, setting a personal best in the process.
July
Montreal basketball player Olivier-Maxence Prosper was drafted 24th overall by the Sacramento Kings NBA team.
August
Swimmer Mary-Sophie Harvey won bronze at the World Swimming Championships in Fukuoka, Japan.
September
Mathieu Choinière, soccer player for Montreal CF, scored his first career Major League Soccer double.
October
Danièle Sauvageau has been named General Manager of the Montreal team in the new Women's Professional Hockey League (WPHL).
